Enhancements to BSC content and services
This page highlights the enhancements that Elexon has recently introduced or is working on and that relate to the BSC services we offer to our customers.

BSC Change
Since July 2022, we have implemented a number of changes around the BSC Change process in response to feedback from our 2022 customer survey.
We have enhanced our web content around BSC Change to enable customers to filter impact by role type (implemented April 2022).
We have updated our internal processes around Annual Demand Ratio (ADR), which allows us to identify, manage and address potential issues faster. Our change point detection tool is in regular use, helping us to spot potential issues quicker.
General content improvements
We have made some changes to the BSC website to enhance the customer experience as well as promote the three Kinnect solutions more clearly within the customer journeys. We are also aiming to create a more seamless customer experience through the navigation zones by moving some of the links into closer proximity with the subjects presented in the primary navigation rather than having them scattered across other parts of the site’s structure.
The changes so far are:
- Elexon.com link moved from top left links in header to “The Industry and Elexon” navigation fly-out
- Technical Assurance Agent Management Tool (TAAMT) link removed from left top links in header – a TAAMT link already exists in the Performance zone within ME & Compliance navigation fly-out
- “Subscriptions” link moved from right to left in top links within header – this is to free up the space around the search facility and focus similar links on the left of the header
- Dedicated Kinnect Customer Solution link added to top left links in the header – this creates a more direct link to the Customer Solution information page replacing the link on the right that took customers to the general Kinnect platform information page
- “About the Industry” zone renamed to “The Industry and Elexon” – this is to clarify that Elexon links reside within this zone along with a link to the Elexon corporate website
- “Change” zone renamed to “Changes and Releases” – this is to help customers know that the Releases content also resides in this area
- Data zone renamed to Data Insights and Analysis – the new heading uses terminology that subtly associates with the Insights Solution as well as to the data available in our data reports and data hosted on BMRS and the BSC Portal
- BSC Portal link added to Data Insights and Analysis navigation fly-out – this ensures that customers can connect with the data subjects held on the BSC Portal (it is also a longer-term aim to remove the Portal link from the top left area of the header)
- BSC Portal link added to Operations & Settlement fly-out – this is to improve access to the BSC Portal from these navigation fly-outs
- Events icon and link added to floating right hand side icons – this is to pre-empt the removal of the Events link in the primary navigation when more zones are created for Market Entry, Assurance and Settlement & Invoicing
Development release: December 2022
We have created a new zone called Settlement and Invoicing to enable an easier route through to associated subjects as well as to the forthcoming Settlement Solution. The content was part of the “Operations & Settlement” area which is now called “Operational Practices”.

Future changes
We are planning to create dedicated zones for Market Entry and for Assurance which will remove the dual zone for Market Entry and Compliance that currently exists.
