If you would like to enter the electricity market and participate in the Balancing and Settlement Code you will need to submit a formal request establishing your interest. This is called an “Expression of interest” and can be submitted using the form below. As part of entering the market you will also need to reserve an MPID which can also be requested by completing the form below.
Market Entry for BSC Parties
The Market Entry team is happy to have an initial meeting to discuss and understand your requirements and guide you through the process.
The meeting date will depend on when you are looking to join the BSC and our availability.
We operate a charging policy for companies who do not intend to become a BSC Party and require information.

If you want to enter the market then you need to reserve an MPID by completing the form below and submitting this to Elexon. We will provide the relevant code bodies with confirmation of your reserved MPID, so that you can complete their specific processes in order to enter the market.
