Data Transfer after Brexit

Once the UK leaves the European Union, it will become a third country for the purposes of personal data transfers from the EU. This means that EU controllers and processors will need to ensure that an adequate mechanism is in place to protect the transfer of personal data.

In the absence of formalised data protection standards following a potential No Deal Brexit ELEXON invites BSC Parties, who transfer personal data from the European Union to ELEXON to enter into the following pre-signed Data Transfer Agreement. This Agreement reflects the EC standard contractual clauses (SCC) in their entirety.

ELEXON does not accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.

We believe we have appropriate policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal information that we have under our control (having regard to the type and amount of that data) from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification, unlawful destruction or accidental loss.
