Formal title: Acknowledgement when using the P98 Web Reporting Service

Summary

P98 was delivered as part of the November 2004 release schedule at considerable expense to the industry. British Gas Trading (BGT) believes it is appropriate for market participant to have the ability to submit contract notifications via the ECVAA web based reporting functionality and for this system to be robust. Whilst it is possible under the current baseline to submit contract notifications, only a positive acknowledgement is provided by central systems and not a negative acknowledgement. BGT believes that a screen based acknowledgement system needs to be developed to allow Parties to effectively manage the risk of making contract notifications via the web-based service.
