CP1591 Consultation on ‘New Site Visit Check Code Valid Set value’
The purpose of this Change Proposal (CP) Consultation is to invite BSC Parties, Party Agents and other interested parties to provide their views on the impacts and the merits of CP1591. The SVG will then consider the consultation responses before making a decision on whether or not to approve CP1591.
LA test CAP consultation 25 June
Following an increase in forward market prices, a Credit Assessment Price (CAP) review was triggered. We invite Parties to indicate whether they agree with the proposal to increase the value of CAP to £77/MWh from last notified value of £70/MWh.

New and improved REMIT dataset live on the Insights Solution
Elexon has built a new and improved portal for publishing Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) disclosures by the industry.
REMIT is retained EU legislation requiring energy companies to make effective and timely public disclosures of inside information. This includes information about infrastructure outages. Elexon has been providing the disclosure platform since 2015 on the Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service (BMRS).

BSC Panel’s letter to Ofgem on consultation on the Future Ownership of Elexon
Michael Gibbons CBE, FEI, BSC Panel Chair, and Dr. Phil Hare, BSC Panel Deputy Chair, have sent a letter on behalf of the BSC Panel as part of the Consultation on the Future Ownership of Elexon that Ofgem issued on 14 July 2022. BEIS and Ofgem have jointly published the consultation on the change in ownership of Elexon. This follows the publication of the Future System Operator (FSO) consultation response on 6th April 2022.

We are reviewing the Trading Disputes Technique
We are undertaking a comprehensive assessment of the current Trading Disputes processes. The review will recommend any identified changes and improvements that can be made to the Trading Disputes technique as short-term and long-term changes.
In addition, the project will consider the effect that market-wide Half Hourly Settlement will have on the Trading Disputes technique.
How to find your own insights from Supplier Market Share data
In this BSC Insight, Emma Tribe our Senior Product Analyst and Nick Groves our Data Steward Lead, demonstrate some of the insights that are possible using data from the Quarterly Supplier Market Share report from Elexon.
Using this report you can understand the average number of metering systems for each Supplier above a threshold and compare that to the total electricity demand for their customers.
