Barbara Vest
Barbara has been employed within the supply sector of the industry since 1991, initially with the Supply Businesses of Northern Electric, Yorkshire Electricity and as Regulatory Affairs Manager at Gaz de France ESS.
Role at ELEXON
Barbara is a current Industry Member of the BSC Panel and Panel Sponsor of the Imbalance Settlement Group. Barbara served as an industry appointed director of ELEXON Ltd from 2000 standing down in 2013.
Other interests
Barbara began working for the Association of Electricity Producers as Head of Electricity Trading in 2008. The Association recently merged with the Energy Retail Association and UK Business Council for Sustainable Energy to create Energy UK.
Barbara was appointed Director of Generation in June 2012.
Barbara Chairs National Grid’s Joint European Stakeholder Group and the European Code Coordination Application Forum and is a member of its Stakeholder Advisory Panel and Grid Code Review Panel.
Barbara is an Executive Council member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Energy Studies.
